Students in eCore courses must fulfill their responsibilities in arranging and taking a proctored exam. Reviewing the instructions on this page will inform you of the procedures you must complete before you can take your eCore proctored exams. As an eCore student, you will be required to go to an approved test site to take either your midterm or final exam or both.
ALERT! As of Summer semester 2009, new eCore exam policies and procedures are in effect. Please read this information carefully. All eCore students must submit the eCore Exam Request Form online by the end of the second week of classes. Exam information will not be distributed to a proctor at an approved test site unless the eCore Exam Request Form information is on file with the eCore Testing Coordinator and test site has been accepted.
Academic integrity applies to all eCore students at all times. Students should be aware of and abide by the eCore Academic Honesty Policy.

eCore Exam FAQ
What is a proctored exam?
A proctored exam is one that is overseen by an impartial individual (called a proctor) who monitors or supervises a student while he or she is taking an exam. The proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.
When are the proctored exams?
Check your course syllabus as soon as you can access your online course. The need to take proctored midterm and/or final exams and your exam dates should be contained there.
How do I find an approved test site or proctor?
You must select a proctor from the List of Approved eCore Test Site Proctors. If the nearest proctor is over 100 miles away from you, please contact the eCore Testing Coordinator as soon as possible and by the end of the second week of class -it is in your best interest to do so before Drop/Add is over.
What is the fee for a proctor's services?
Fees vary for the use of a testing facility and the proctor's time to receive, monitor, and return your exam. Please be sure to determine if there is a fee, what it is, and when it must be paid. Testing centers often require prepayment, and your receipt for payment may serve as your ticket to the proctored exam session.
