ProctorU is a live online proctoring service that allows you to take your exam from the comfort of your home. ProctorU is available 24/7.
Students can also request to test at other facilities or with individual proctors. Please keep in mind these options will require an additional approval step to complete the appointment scheduling.
A proctored exam is an exam that is overseen by an impartial individual, called a proctor, who monitors or supervises you while you are taking the exam. The proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.
In order to measure learning outcomes in an objective, verifiable way, students must take one or two exams at an authorized testing center where students will be asked to present a photo ID.
A proctored experience is required for the successful completion of an eCore course. In courses requiring only one proctored exam, failure to take that exam will result in a failing grade for the course regardless of the overall average of other grades.
Check your course syllabus as soon as you can access your online course. The need to take proctored midterms or final exams and your exam dates should be contained therein.
eCore students may test with the following proctors:
Proctoring costs vary for the use of a testing facility and the proctor's time to monitor your exam. Proctored exams typically range from $15 to $25 but may cost more depending on the proctor. Some testing centers may require prepayment, and your receipt for payment may serve as your ticket to the proctored exam session.
You must navigate to your GoVIEW course in order to set up your proctored exam. You will find the widget on your course home page. For more information see your course syllabus or the Course Resources Content module.

In order to receive special accommodations, students must provide documentation to the instructor from the disabilities center at their affiliate institution or from the Regents Center for Learning Disorders. If you are a student who is disabled as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act and require assistance or support services, please notify the instructor prior to attempting any activities or assessments in this course during the first week of class.
Also, students with disabilities or who require special testing accommodations must contact the Testing Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org before scheduling an exam appointment.
